I'll post links to tutorials as a reply and give some basics in this post.
First the image needs to be on the internet somewhere and it needs to be somewhere that allows remote access and doesn't require a password in order to view the image.
Each yuku account has image space. Free accounts have 30 MB of space and supporters (paid accounts) get 100 MB. This space is for the account (email address) not for each profile, so if you have 5 profiles on one account, they share the same 30 MB of space.
You can use this space to store images for posts or to have a gallery of pictures to show via your profile. You can check out my profile http://kathy.u.yuku.com/gallery/ls Mostly I have board images, rather than normal pictures. You get to decide if you want your albums to be visible to everyone, to just those in your friends list or just for you. Setting an album to private just means that that album won's show from your profile, if you post an image in a post, it will show there.
If you have multiple profiles, you will need to assign each album to a profile name. Again this if for profile purposes, all of the profiles will have access to all of the images for posting.
To access your image space, just go up the the top of any yuku page and after your name on the left you'll see a link that says images.
There is one default album for your avatars, but you can make more albums as you need them.
There are some size restrictions. Yuku will resize images that are larger than 760 pixels wide by 760 pixels high and you won't be able to upload images that are larger than 2MB (I think that's the number)
If you have a Photobucket account, you can link your PB account to your yuku account. If you have multiple profiles on the account, you will be able to access the PB account no matter which profile you are signed in as.
You can also post images from other image hosts if you have the url of where the image is stored.
